On July 18, Mr. Zhang Hongkai, CEO from Huawei Iran Office and Dr. Saeed Sohrabpour, President of Sharif University of Technology co-signed a MOU of seting up a unified lab on Value-Added-Service products. Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. has been operating in Iran for 10 years, and been major strategic partners for the major Iran telecom operators, such as MCI, TCI, MTN-IRANCELL.
In order to return to the society and establish a good enterprise image even after the great successes being achieved in Iran, Huawei is still looking for every opportunity to fulfill its social responsibilities as a transnational company. According to the MOU, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. will provide VAS platforms to Sharif University of Technology. Both sides will develop localized VAS products together based on the platforms and provide services for MCI, a local mobile operator. Huawei will also provide training opportunities for universities and operators both in China and Iran.
Mr. Wang Liping, Economic and Commercial Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Iran attended the signing ceremony and expressed heartfelt congratulations to the cooperation between the two sides. He fully believes that through the cooperation, more Iranian people will be familiar with Huawei, and know China’s telecom technology proficiency.
